BACKGROUND
The charitable Chaiya Art Awards is the UK’s biggest awards exploring and illuminating faith and spirituality through the visual arts with a top prize of £10,000. You can get a real flavour of theses awards by watching our 3 min film on our home page here.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
We have the great privilege of hosting thousands of visitors, all ages, a kaleidoscope of nationalities, to the Chaiya Art Awards exhibition. Most visitors are receptive to a smile, a listening ear, a conversation, an encouragement, as we aim for an open-hearted, welcoming and affirming space. Join us. Work alongside us. This is why we would value your help.
We are open for 10 days from Friday 7 April to Sunday 16 April 2023 at OXO & Bargehouse Galleries, Bargehouse Street, London, SE1 9PH. We try to work in teams of 2 on 4 hour shifts, 11am – 3pm and 2 – 6pm. There are 14 exhibition spaces on different floors so we need 16 people per day for 2 x 4 hour shifts. If you could donate a whole day we would be thrilled! If you don’t live in London please don’t exclude yourself – offer half a day and use the rest of the time to visit London. Bring a friend to join you.
At our last exhibition in 2021 despite COVID we welcomed 1200 visitors and we loved greeting and interacting with every single person.
Please fill in our doodle poll (click here), we will take as many shifts as you can offer us.
With appreciation
