Public Choice Award

Over 3,400 people visited the 2023 Chaiya Art Awards Winners exhibition Awe+Wonder and we received over 2,000 votes for the Public Choice Award of £1,000, which was won by:

An installation space involving a collection of sculptural elements, created from a variety of mixed media, many of which are recycled.

Unseen potential and unique value lie beneath the surface of every one of us, each an individual, handcrafted, weird and wonderful creation – but circumstances can threaten to suffocate us. Inspired by seedpods, the piece speaks of surfacing, arising, overcoming, birthing, of becoming. What is dying, what is coming alive.
